The Boland Guest list Monday 1st March : America's refusal to support Britain in the Falklands oil drilling row has been blamed on the UK's decision to release sensitive U.S intelligence on a terror suspect. President Obama has been accused of being feeble by failing to back London in the stand-off with Argentina over the disputed islands. The criticism was echoed by Boland’s first guest Tory MP Patrick Mercer, the chairman of the Commons' terrorism sub-committee.
Next Up is actor Tim Healy found fame as Dennis, the gaffer of Auf Wiedersehen Pet back in the 80's. Since then he has starred in many TV dramas, including The Grand, Common as Muck and Benidorm. Tim will be coming down to Marbella for the Haiti Golf Tournament and Gala on the 13th March together with his wife Denise Welch.
Last week saw the launch of yet another scare campaign in the U.K. As so often before championed by the BBC, it warned us again of the deadly dangers posed by asbestos - this time in Britain's schools. Christopher Booker - author of the book 'The Real Global Warming Disaster' - says that the BBC, profiteering firms and gullible politicians have grossly exaggerated the dangers of asbestos.
And finally Robin Cousins who won the World Free Skating Championship gold medal three times and the gold at Lake Placid in 1980. He is head judge on Dancing on Ice, has just come back from Vancouver where he was commentating on the Olympic Ice Skating and at the end of this month will be joining the cast of Grease for a limited season.
