The Star guest on the Friday Boland Show is the legendary Dame Vera Lynn, Yes you heard right… DAME VERA LYNN!!!! Dame Vera was every solders pinup during world war 2 and at home kept the British spirits up with such iconic songs as: ‘ The White Cliffs Of Dover’ and ‘We’ll Meet Again’ As the words of the song go “ Don’t Know where, Don’t know When”? Well, Boland will answer that question when; ‘Where’ is on his morning show and ‘When’ is at 10am tomorrow.
The Greens, The Greens, most of this stuff drives Maurice mad.. Just bringing up Global Warming and it’s enough to make his blood boil!!! Next guest up Daniel Johnston, editor of the magazine Standpoint argues “ How in the name of sanity can being green be a religion”? Commenting after an unfair dismissal trial judge argued that philosophical belief which is based on science should receive the same protection as religious beliefs…. Beyond belief says Boland!!!
The next guest up is Victoria Townsend, tells a moving story about her nine year old son being kept alive on a ventilator, she has now asked his carers that he be allowed to die. Her son William had a brain haemorrhage at the age of three weeks and was permanently brain damaged…hers is a harrowing story.
……And finally How many times have you sat in front of the TV and repeatedly corrected one or another presenters pronunciation? ‘Unacceptable’ is Boland’s final guest John Greenwoods new book and is right up your street; ‘Shouting At The Telly’
Boland on Friday at 10am
