The Boland Show’s Thursday Guest List: This one of those stories that was hardly spoke about after WW2; The British memorial school was a school for British expats, stranded behind enemy lines as the Nazis swept across Europe. Boland’s first guest James Fox reveals, that its courageous young pupils were to become the Third Reich’s fiercest foes of all. James should know, he was a pupil at the school in 1940 and he has made it his mission to trace his former school friends. The children who fought Hitler is their story. Next up is an old friend of the Boland Show although they haven’t spoke for a while he is professional streaker Mark Roberts, this extraordinary Liverpool lad has Streaked in some of the best places including Centre Court at Wimbledon’s final day, numerous cricket test matches, the FA Cup Final and even at Royal Ascot in front of the late Queen Mother!!! So what’s been his latest stunt that earned him a place on the Boland Show, well he’s only gone and streaked as a surprise and uninvited guest on this mornings LIVE television show the hugely popular ‘The Wright Stuff’ and caused chaos when he stripped off and ran amok when he ran on set waving his arms and other body parts just as host Mathew Wright was apologising to viewers after another guest swore. Mark has promised he would streak on the Boland Show, you have been warned!!! After that we need to calm down and lighten up a little with Boland’s next guest comedy writer Ivor Baddiel who has written 13 books and writes extensively for television and radio where he has worked with the likes of Stephen Fry, Ant and Dec, Johnny Vaughn, Dara O’Brian and Joan Rivers. He is currently writing the script for Dermot O’Leary on The X Factor. Next guest up on this Thursday Show is Peaches Cadogan in a week where female violence has dominated the headlines; one woman knows exactly what it is like to be on the frontline. Peaches was just 20 when she was jailed for two robberies, fraud, deception and handling stolen goods. Peaches, who did turn her life around, and set up youth work organisation ‘ reality bytes’, says that alcohol is often a huge part of the problem. Let’s go out with a laugh Boland’s final guest with a Bafta award-winning comedy writer and bestselling author of the series of Grumpy Old Men books. David Quantick will talk to us about his new book; ‘ Dangerous Book for Middle-Aged Men’ is on our website. Boland on Thursday at 10.
