The Friday Boland Guest list: Everyone knows that Boland is a chocoholic (mind you on the diet he’s not touching a square, that is unless no ones looking) Well first guest up is Peter Thornton. Peter is one of the Thornton Chocolate Dynasty and has written a book ‘My Life in The Family’. He’s going to talk us through the building of one of the worlds premier brands, it will include a family that was frequently at war and sibling rivalry. One of the most popular television shows in The Secret Millionaire, Maurice loves having these very generous wealthy participants on his show ( think he’s hoping to touch them up for a few bob!!!) this weeks guest Gary Eastwood multi millionaire, having amassed a fortune of over 20 million ponds in scrap metal, not only gave away over 60,000 pounds, but continues to revisit this deprived area in Blackpool but he continues to support the charities that touched his heart. Those who saw the show will remember how emotional this giant of a man was as he handed over cheques to needed causes. Tulay Goren a 15 year old girl from and Indian immigrant family went, missing ten years ago after falling in love with an older man. Her body has never been found. Her father along with two of his brothers now stand trial for an honour killing. British born Shazia Qayum a survivor of a forced marriage having been taken out of school at 15, sent to Pakistan and forced to marry a stranger, will talk with Boland about honour killing
within the Indian communities. And finally, For years after Fion Gunn who was attacked and sexually assaulted in her own home has been trying to forget and simply move on with her life. So you can imagine how she now feels that cold case detectives want to re-open old wounds. She will explain to Boland how traumatised she was after the attack and how she feels now just as the wounds were healing having to see them reopened again. Boland on Friday at 10
